4 Ways to Stay Motivated to Reach Your Goals
Hi I’m Coach Dee Woolridge and this is Dee’s Keys to Success. I’m here today with four quick coaching keys to help you stay motivated to reach your goals and dreams.
1. Life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you react to it. You know that we all face challenges, but we all have the choice to respond in a positive or negative manner. Take a moment and recall how you respond to challenges. What’s your default? is it immediate stress, blame, worry, panic? Complaining? if you answered yes then your default is negative, and you may want to consider making a change and the reason is being a positive outlook in all situations brings about a more harmonious state of being. That may encompass taking a moment of silence to allow yourself to brain storm answers and ask for help. To accept and work through the thing that you can’t change or that is out of your control… and to find the good in every situation.
2. Keep the Momentum. Keep moving, keep playing and keep dreaming.
I will sum this up in one word – momentum. To achieve your full potential, you must stay energized. This encompasses everything from self-care, which can be the dentist, a massage or the gym. It can be staying innovative and ambitious or by vigorously exercising the mind in lively thought provoking conversation. Just keep moving and never give up.
3. Learn to embrace change. Change can be uncomfortable by it’s going to happen so you might as well enjoy is as part of your journey. Far too many of our problems in all aspects of our life come from holding on to the past. By embracing change with excitement and belief that it’s life’s way of helping you grow, you open your-self up to see things from a new perspective, and to be happier while doing it.
4. Remind yourself of what you’re trying to accomplish If your are ever feel stuck or are not sure if you should engage in a business or personal relationship, ask yourself is it REALLY what you want. Some times fear of loss comes into play and we say yes to things so they we don’t miss out on anything. In my coaching group, I’ve asked the women to write a personal mission statement. And this mission becomes their guide post. If things come into their lives that are not congruent with their mission, then it can be eliminated. This keeps you on the right path toward your goal with less pitfalls and detours.
